Recent months have seen an uptick in earthquake activity in the past few months. Here is the LA TIMES article outlining the recent swarm yesterday. I don’t think it is indicative of the Big One in LA, but if it is, you read it here first.

Boom goes the Sacramentonite
This is my favorite phenomenon in the last few months; BOOMS that seemingly come from nowhere. In my last post, I covered the BOOMS that are happening in Wisconsin. Now it seems like they have returned, this time in Sacramento California. Read the story here. No explanation from professionals and no word from officials.
American Mummy
The preserved body of a diver was found in Lake Michigan off of Wisconsin. Apparently the lack of oxygen and the near freezing temperatures preserved the body for 13 years. How crazy is that?
It’s no secret I am scared of sharks, and the unknown monsters of the deep. I have to say, that if I was diving, and a skeletal face appeared from the murky depths, or worse yet, if that face still had thirteen year old dead skin clinging to it zombie style, i would have vacated my bowels and went screaming all the way to the surface.
Rabies and Ravens: The Baltimore Bat
I happen to think this is sensationalism, but apparently a bat was flying around a Baltimore Ravens game and the Maryland Dept. of health says there is a risk of Rabies infection. Article here. I think the infection risk is significantly lower than the alarm, but it is just one more in the long list of growing diseases.
The Mystery Monkey of Tampa Bay and other breaking Simian News
Ok, with all this doom and gloom, thank God monkeys are making headlines today.
First of all, this one is hilarious. A lab tech got caught with his pants down, partying with two escaped monkeys. What else to you need to know? I do hope they were at least female.
The second story is about The Mystery Monkey of Tampa Bay. Sounds like a cryptid I know. Read the article, you will not be disappointed. The monkey even has a blog and is running for mayor. Nothing funnier that a monkey eluding capture. It’s like a 5 year buddy comedy.
