This week in artifical currency 2/6/13

I am positive that every eyeball reading this is attached to a brain that knows the Federal Reserve is NOT a part of the Federal Government, despite its purposefully confusing name.  It is no more Federal than Federal Express.  I am personally of the belief that this single organization, and its US monetary policy is the reason we are in the economic situation we are in.  In 2012, we will pay almost 10 cents of every tax dollar on interest generated by the national debt.  That is 220 BILLION dollars NOT spent on education, social programs, or basically anything productive.  See here is the crime:  The US is supposed to print their money (That’s what the Dept. of the Treasury is for), but they do not.  We borrow it from the Federal Reserve, AT INTEREST.  That interest has been growing for about 100 years, when the Federal reserve was first chartered to handle our nantional financial situation.  If we printed our own currency, we would get that money interest free!  That would be trillions we could spend on the United States and our citizens, and not to greedy, disgusting criminals masquerading as legitimate bankers.

Anyway, I digress.  The point of this first part is to say that while I am not a fan of the hacker group Anonymous, I am very much in favor of their hacking in to the Federal Reserve servers this past week.   The breach gave them 4000 top tier bankers private information, such as E-mails, phone numbers, addresses, etc.  The information was collected by the Fed as Emergency Contact information.  They have my support on this one.

If you don’t want to take my word for it, how about talking to the Virginia Legislature.  They are spending around 17K to research minting their own currency.  They aren’t the only state to do that either.  Utah and other states are looking into this option.  This is triggered by the Fed’s loose financial policy that is debasing the dollar, so it will be practically worthless in the coming years.  This fear has triggered these states to come up with a scenario to ensure they aren’t dragged down with the ship.  While it is technically illegal for a state to print its own money, Utah has found and may exploit a loophole that allows for precious metals to be traded with real value.

It will be an interesting year.

South-West Nile Outbreak: Day 28

Now Virginia has a reported death.  This is the third for the region, with several others infected.  Maryland and DC both have a death each, and several reported cases.  Also according to the article, for the last 5 years, the state reported 1-5 cases a year.  Is the drought really causing a mosquito explosion?
