This post is going to make you think. According to this article, data storage has become so cheap that it is entirely feasible that the government (or anyone for that matter) could (read: definitely is) record EVERYTHING you do and store it into perpetuity. Ultimately they could mine data based on every city camera you walk past (ATMs, street cameras, etc.), every Google search, store club card purchases, etc. You wipe your butt, they know when, where, and what brand of toilet paper you used and how much.
If that isn’t scary enough, listen to what will undoubtedly be someone’s counter argument: This guy is getting getting charges dropped because the EVIDENCE IS TAKING UP TOO MUCH SPACE ON THE FEDERAL HARD DRIVES! Who ever heard of a prosecutor having too much evidence?! IF this incident doesn’t scream justice, I don’t know what does.
